North Oakland Community Charter School Collaborates With OnePlace

The OnePlace Giving Back program just keeps growing and growing! We are thrilled to be able to help so many non-profit and charity organizations, as well as educational organizations. Our latest addition to the Giving Back program is the North Oakland Community Charter School.
The North Oakland Community Charter School is a public school dedicated to helping children become thoughtful, informed, and inquisitive citizens. NOCCS is a vibrant, diverse learning community driven by respect for each child’s unique intelligence and history. The school’s dynamic and challenging educational approach deepens the intellectual and social capacities of each child. NOCCS was originally founded by a group of parents who were looking for an alternative to the current public school environment.
NOCCS plans to use OnePlace as a collaboration mechanism for their school tech support team. Since they are a group of volunteer techie parents, some of whom have actual day jobs, it's been challenging trying to coordinate schedules, availability, and skillsets. They initially plan to implement a help/support desk functionality. Then ideally, they will use OnePlace to collaboratively develop their strategic technology support plans, and to capture and store system and network documentation. One feature of OnePlace that they appreciate is the Daily OnePlace Update email that reminds individual team members of the tasks that still require their attention. And iPhone users are almost apoplectic about having a new app that lets them interact with OnePlace.
Please join us in welcoming NOCCS to our Giving Back program! And, if you’re interested in trying OnePlace out for yourself, sign up for a free 14-day trial.
