OnePlace Help/Blog/User Forum Now Searchable

Posted by Denis Ahearn on May 05, 2010

Something that we get asked for from time-to-time is to make the OnePlace Help searchable. This is a very reasonable request - we just hadn't gotten around to doing that yet. Well, yesterday we added that capability, and took it one step further by also allowing our users to search the contents of this blog, as well as the contents of the OnePlace User Forum.

Under the covers we're using Google Site Search to power this capability. This means that this search feature will look and work just like you've become accustomed to with Google Search.

Searching the OnePlace Help, Blog and User Forum is as simple as this:

1. Go to the OnePlace Help
2. Locate the Search text box in the upper right hand corner of the page.
3. Type in your search term(s) and click the Search button (or press the Enter key).

The results of your search will be listed on the page below. You can easily see where the matches were found (Help/Blog/User Forum) by scanning the urls listed in the search results.

To get back to the OnePlace Help Table of Contents, just click the "Table of Contents" link at the top of the search results.

We're pretty excited to provide our users with this capability, and hope it makes it much easier and faster to find the answers they're looking for.
