Connect and Collaborate With Team Members by Using Team Pulse

Posted by Dana Larson on March 11, 2010

We’ve discussed how staying connected to your teammates is an important step toward overall business success. We like to make sure everyone on our team can communicate with each other and stay up to date on other’s activity, as this allows us to build on projects, tasks and ideas together.

One main way we at OnePlace stay connected is through Team Pulse. Team Pulse allows us to know what the others are currently working on, and ask questions directly to one person, the members of one workplace or the entire company.

Account managers can stay in the loop on their projects by monitoring all activity and progress made by their team members. By viewing each workplace, the account manager can see when a task was started and when it was completed. This gives them the alert to go check out the progress of the task and review any documents or content if necessary.

Team Pulse is also used as an instant messaging service. When one team member needs to ask a question to another, they can select their name from the drop down list and compose an instant message right to them. This allows for quick answering of questions, as well as longer conversations if needed.

Users can also use Team Pulse to alert the entire company of something important, such as signing a new customer or announcing the time change of an upcoming team building activity. It’s a great way to instantly keep all team members in the know.

Team Pulse can be accessed easily via a home page panel right within OnePlace, or via the OnePlace Dashboard - an easy-to-install desktop application that allows users to stay connected to the activity and conversation in OnePlace without having to have the browser open. The OnePlace Dashboard (shown below) can be downloaded at http://help.oneplacehome.com/getting_to_know/dashboard.

Because team collaboration and communication are so important, we encourage everyone to take advantage of Team Pulse and the OnePlace Dashboard. You’ll love how it connects everyone and increases you team’s success.
