OnePlace Upgrade

Posted by Denis Ahearn on July 23, 2009

After going the entire month of June without an upgrade, we just performed our fifth upgrade in July tonight (7/23/09)! We've had some customer requests recently that prompted this quick upgrade (we just upgraded 3 days ago). Highlights of the upgrade are listed below:

  • Searching for data in OnePlace just got a whole lot easier! You can now search across all your data at one time using the new "All" option on the Search dialog. You can also now specify that the search use either "Begins With", "Ends With", "Contains" or "Exact Match" matching. And finally, when searching discussions, OnePlace will now look for matches in the discussion titles, descriptions and messages (posts).

  • The boxes containing all the gory detail about something (e.g. a project, task, file, etc.) are now collapsed by default when you go to the page that displays that thing. This should hopefully make it easier to use those pages. If you like seeing all that detail, no problem - you can tell OnePlace to always show you that information by going to your User Preferences, and unchecking the new "Collapse Details on all Detail views" user preference.

  • The Workplace and Project reports now display total efforts (estimated, actual and remaining) for projects and tasks that track time.

As always, full details of the upgrade are available at http://help.oneplacehome.com/recentchanges#latestupgrade

Hope you enjoy the enhancements, and please keep those great suggestions coming!
